How did you end up working in this field
With an MSc in Public Health and a passion for supporting underrepresented populations, I became the Community Engagement and Development Lead to bridge gaps in healthcare access, reduce health inequalities, and advocate for inclusive community support initiatives. I hope to achieve a more equitable health landscape where every individual, regardless of their background, has access to quality healthcare services. By fostering strong community partnerships and promoting health education, I aim to empower marginalised groups, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs met. My goal is to create sustainable programs that improve overall community well-being and drive long-term positive change.

I enjoy volunteering and have extensive experience working with people from different backgrounds. Having worked in the NHS for 12 years, I gained an understanding of how health and wellbeing impact people’s lives. This exposure has enriched my understanding of diverse health challenges and solutions, inspiring me to bring innovative and culturally sensitive approaches to my role as Community Engagement and Development Lead. I am looking forward to supporting communities in creating interventions to prevent diseases and prolong lives.
