Tell us about your role at BHA

As a Community Engagement and Development Worker Lead, my aim is to reduce health inequalities for marginalised communities in Coventry and Warwickshire. I do this by making links with community stakeholders and co-producing services to improve access to information, resources and testing.

How did you end up working in this field

My BSc in Sexual Health Studies and experience teaching RSE in schools and the community, enhanced my passion and knowledge in this field. My background in chil rotection, sexual violence, and mental health has made me deeply committed in breaking down barriers, improving accessibility and inclusivity of healthcare and challengin stigma. Empowering others to make informed decisions around their health and wellbeing is so rewarding and this role offers me a great opportunity to connect with communities so we can work together towards better outcomes.
